The Mallards/Mercury Ski-Boat Festival 2009

PROGRAMME FOR THE COMPETITION

FISHING DAYS:        Wednesday 1^st to Saturday 4^th July 2009

FISHING HOURS:                 Launching from first light on instruction from the Beach Controllers.

                                    All boats must return to base in time to weigh their fish at St. Michaels

WEIGH-IN:            The weigh-in will take place in the Castle Lager Marquee from 13h00 until 17h00 from Wednesday to Friday and 13h00 to 16h00 on Saturday.  All fish must be inside the weighing enclosure before 17h00 (16h00 on Saturday) otherwise they will not be weighed.

TUESDAY 30^th June

15H00     :              REGISTRATION at the Castle Lager Marquee at St Michaels

19H00     :              ANGLERS BRIEFING  at the Castle Lager Marquee

WEDNESDAY 1^st  

               :              Launching & Weigh-in as above

                               FISH BRAAI DEMONSTRATION & TASTING in the Castle Lager Marquee

17H00 – 18H00     DAILY DEEP FREEZE DRAW AND DAILY BOAT PRIZE

               :              At least one crew member must be present to win the draw *

THURSDAY 2^nd

               :              Launching & Weigh-in as above

14H00     :              FISH BRAAI DEMONSTRATION & TASTING in the Castle Lager Marquee

17H00 – 18H00     :DAILY DEEP FREEZE DRAW AND DAILY BOAT PRIZE  *

18h00                     SPONSORS & MEDIA COCKTAIL PARTY – by invitation only                                              

FRIDAY 3^rd

               :              Launching & Weigh-in as above

14H00     :               FISH BRAAI DEMONSTRATION & TASTING in the Castle Lager Marquee

19H00     :               IDOLS winner JASON HARTMAN and his Band Live

17H00 – 18H00     DAILY DEEP FREEZE BOAT DRAW AND DAILY BOAT PRIZE *

SATURDAY 4^th  

               :              Launching & Weigh-in as above

14h00     :              Afrikaans fest with Potjie cooking competition, truck pulling and family fun.

18H00     :              PRIZE GIVING FUNCTION AT THE CASTLE LAGER MARQUEE

19H00     :              BLARNEY BROTHERS LIVE ON STAGE: Entrance Free to Anglers, R30 to Public

20H30     :              PRESENTATION OF TOP THREE PRIZES

                               HANDING OVER OF BOAT AND CAR

21h00     :              FINAL DEEP FREEZE &  RAFFLE PRIZE DRAWS

A full Bar will be operating from 10H00 in the Marquee throughout the week

A full Programme of Entertainment will take place in and around the marquee every day, including

face-painting for the kids, a fish braai at the weigh-in and music day and night.

Fast food available throughout the day and a full menu in the evening.
